Investigating Fractions Using Food and Drink

Over the past two days, Year 4 have been investigating fractions through the use of food and drink in the classroom.
Following on from our theme, Romeo and Juliet, each group were given a picnic basket in which they had to find either 1/2, 1/4 or 1/3 of each item. Emphasis was put on accuracy of finding the fractions with each child having to justify their decisions.
