History Off The Page 1940 experience

On Monday, year 6 became evacuees for the day!

We started the day as school children with a very strict teacher.  We had to make sure we were on our best behaviour!

During the afternoon, we had to visit the shops with our ration books and actual coins from that time and try to buy as much as possible with little money.  There was also a cafe where we could buy a treat if we had any pennies left.

It was a fantastic day enjoyed by all!
