The Great Fire of London learning in Year 2

Another brilliant week looking at The Great Fire of London with Year 2!  The children enjoyed getting into role as a child from 1666 who had been awoken by strange noises and was petrified, alarmed and afraid as to what was happening to their beloved city.  We explored a range of new feeling words, discussed what thoughts they might have and rhetorical questions they might ask.

Here are some of their poses when asked to show different emotions we had discussed and a glimpse of our working wall, full of brilliant descriptive language and ideas the children have generated. Well done year 2!
